The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) is lending its support to the Phoenix Rescue Mission with a donation aimed at helping local communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“At NASM, we’re passionate about transforming lives through health and fitness,” said Laurie McCartney, President, Global Fitness & Wellness Solutions, Ascend Learning. “Right now, with all the social and economic hardships that come with this crisis, it’s important to do what we can to help people keep food on the table and maintain healthy nutrition.”
NASM’s donation to the Phoenix Rescue Mission will help provide approximately 1,300 meals to Arizona families impacted by COVID-19.
Since 1952, the Phoenix Rescue Mission has been providing hope, healing, and new beginnings for men, women, and children needing a helping hand. In addition to its food bank, the Phoenix Rescue Mission also provides housing, recovery and educational services for families battling homelessness, fighting addictions, and escaping domestic violence.
