Incorporate the Rush of Winter Sports into Client Workouts

How can you translate the excitement and appeal of winter sports into your client’s workouts? How about incorporating winter sports training moves into a themed circuit using a mixed phase approach of the NASM Optimum Performance Training™ (OPT™) model! You can even use it to partner up for group personal training and add some friendly competition to the mix.  Each winter sport has unique training needs, ranging from the speed, strength and explosive power needed for bobsled events, to the flexibility, balance and control needed to slide the stones in curling. Most of us probably won’t get (or take!) the chance to try bobsledding or ski jumping, and accessibility to many of these sports may also limit our chances of attempting them, considering there are only two bobsled and luge competition tracks in the United States and two in Canada. But we can always use our imagination and kinesthetic sense to feel the excitement and rush these great athletes must be experiencing as they compete.

So get ready for the cold in this OPT mixed phase Winter Sports Workout.
