See how Tamara Smith has taken the NASM OPT model and put it into action to protect workers from injuries.
When human beings are trudging through a challenging life transition, being reminded of their inner strength; physically, mentally, and emotionally can be the gift that opens the experience to something greater. Tamara Smith specializes in creating high performance “athletes” from where they came; a sedentary desk job, painful divorce, or loss of a loved one. Her passion is helping others rediscover their innate strength through a blend of biomechanics, athletic training, and Neurolinguistic Programming to serve both her corporate and private clients, enhancing peak performance in all areas of life.
After working as a Master Trainer for 24 Hour Fitness for seven years, she was approached by one of her clients, the Director of Physical Distribution at a major Supply Chain Distribution Company in southern California, to create an Industrial Athlete Program to help incoming employees transition to the physical demands of the warehouse positions. She is in her seventh year of operation with the current company and is set to begin a new contract with a manufacturing company in June. In her free time, she contributes to her online blog, The Grieving Mind.com and continues to develop her Transition Coaching Business in addition to her Industrial Ergonomics Consulting Business.
Ms. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with an option in Sports Medicine and an emphasis in Health and Wellness. She is a former athlete who served on the Junior National Luge Team and holds her NASM-CPT, CES, PES and WLS. Tamara may be contacted at Dreamtree412@gmail.com
